Crassula

The most common among the Crassula genus is the commonly named ‘Jade Tree.’ There are around 200 different species in the Crassula family and they can be found all over the world.

Crassula can be propogated by stem or leaf, cultivated forms don’t take too well to extreme cold or heat and cause them to drop leaves or even branches and slowly die.

There are many different forms of Crassula. Some grow in a tree like formation (Crassula Ovata), others are more trailing (baby’s necklace) and rosette forming such as Crassula Campfire. As they are winter active succulents, it makes things a lot easier to care for when pairing them together in a garden or succulent container. You can then fertilise them all at once or, leave them all alone when the season changes.
