A bell shape flower displays in its growing season (summer) and like other Stapelias, carries with it a strong rotting meat smell. A very attractive flower however, one you may want to keep away from your front door! The stems are a dull green colour that can develop a purple hue at the tips. The bell like flowers are dark purple and grow up to 12.5cm wide.
