Stapelia Gigantea
Stapelia Gigantea are late bloomers. They are actively growing in summer and will bloom late summer to early autumn. The flowers can be up to 25cm in diameter which makes quite a spectacular display in full bloom.
A lot of Stapelias have a very strong odour like rotting meat which attracts flies. Gigantea is one of the most potent Stapelias for its smell but I believe it’s worth the stink for such stunning flowers!
