Comparing Senecio Flowers

It is not hard to see how these plants are from the same genus, the name of the genus actually means ‘old man’. When observing the flowers from each, even when the colour varies, the structure stays very much the same (for the succulent variety of Senecio). Not all Senecio are succulent drought hardy plants, they are actually part of same family the daisy is related to which is ‘Asteracea’. Below we can see and compare the different flowers – Candle Plant (Senecio articulatus), String of Pearls – Senecio rowleyanus, Senecio radicans (String of Bananas) and so on.
