Some call this guy ‘cockroach plant’ as it looks a little strange with little hairy legs (additional leaves) protruding out the sides of each main leaf. It is made up of ‘bits and pieces’ – different shaped leaves on each section. It prefers filtered light just like any other Rhipsalis as full sun can burn the leaves. Disocactus can be kept indoors if it receives enough filtered light throughout the day. Bits and Pieces is basically dormant in winter so it is best to slow down your watering in this period. Water regularly from mid Spring through to Autumn.

Rhipsalis Salicornioides (Dancing Bones)
Recognised as a Rhipsalis, many growers are not aware that although Dancing Bones is in the Rhipsalideae Tribe, its scientific name is actually ‘Hatiora Salicornioides.’
