Euphorbia Ritchiei

Euphorbia-ritchiei

Ritchiei is a small clumping succulent that grows up to 60cm tall. It does not handle drought well so water at least once a week throughout summer. All Euphorbias are summer growers and will go dormant in winter. They do need a lot of sun to thrive however I have found that the afternoon sun in Brisbane summer is a little too harsh and sometimes will burn the leaves of the plant. Place Ritchiei in morning sun/afternoon shade for best results and do not overwater.

Ritchiei is usually in full bloom around March/April (Autumn), other Euphorbias generally flower early Spring such as Sausage Spurge.
