Sedum Praealtum (Green Cockscomb)

Green-Cockscomb

Green Cockscomb is a tree like succulent plant growing up to 90cm in height. Flower stems begin to appear early winter and are in full bloom mid winter. Sedum have a tendency to ‘die back’ in the summer months so don’t be too alarmed when your Sedum Praealtum starts looking a little less appealing, loosing leaves and looking more stick like. It is important to keep up the water in the warmer months as these can get quite affected by the dry and heat. This sedum looks its best in winter as this is it’s growing season so this is the time to fertilise.
