Aeonium Chocolate Rose

Aeonium_Chocolate_Rose_main

Aeonium Chocolate Rose are the most obvious when dormant. They grow vigorously in winter, their stems are green and create many offsets. Once the weather starts to warm, the stems harden off and the Chocolate Rose will lose many of its leaves to conserve energy while it is in dormancy.

I adore my Chocolate Rose Aeonium as its colours are so deep and gothic looking.

Your Aeonium may even start sending out aerial roots in summer to anchor themselves as these plant do get very top heavy in growing season.
