Pickle Plant (Senecio stapeliiformis)

Senecio-Stapeliiformismain

Pickle Plant is a pencil like succulent with green and purple arrow head markings. The spines are soft and succulent-like and can grow to 25cm tall and a thickness of around 2cm. Flowers are almost exactly like that of a trailing jade, bright orange and fluffy on a long stem.

It is a very determined plant, so much so, it has broken through one of my coconut fibre hanging baskets!

Take cuttings in early spring if they get too out of control. They are quite easy to root once calloused over for a few days prior to planting. They are extremely drought tolerant but do not let the soil dry out too much over summer.
